DSC01091This is a recipe that my 10 year old found and altered. She is becoming a really good baker and makes the best chocolate chip cookies! They're not too sweet and have a great texture. Each cookie has a nice balance of chocolate and cookie. So good, enjoy!

This is my favorite, go to drink. It's a variation of something I used to drink when I lived in Ireland. I know it's vain, but I named it after myself! I'm one "Happy Redhead" when I have one of these in my hand.

New England Apple Crumble

This is an easy recipe that I always serve when I have people over with food allergies. There are no nuts or eggs. I have used flour substitutions when needed. In addition, this dessert looks fantastic in my vintage footed dessert bowls!

I was always intimidated by making my own buttercream frosting. This was the first recipe I tried and it has me hooked! Homemade frosting is so much better than canned. It's incredibly easy and delicious! This frosting is quite stable and can be at room temperature for a couple of days.

Although this dinner is in the oven for 2 hours, you actually spend only about 15 minutes cooking.  This is what I call ignore-me-food. You stick it in the oven until it is ready.

This is always a hit on the dinner table.  My kids can't get enough of these and even eat them cold the next day.  This is a basic recipe that can be altered with spices to taste.  You can prepare this with the skin of the potato either on or off.  I'm lazy and leave them on most of the time.  I mask my laziness by telling people that there is more fiber and nutricious value in the skin!  We serve them with ketsup and they are a great alternative to french fries.
